A beautifully nubby check with a natural, workwear feel.

This fun, organic check blends classic black-and-natural with the wonderful texture of an unbleached cotton-linen canvas. The natural-colored background ground has been intentionally left with tiny cotton seeds and irregularities intact, giving the fabric a wonderfully earthy, almost homespun quality.

At 222 gsm, this one has a bit more body than our lighter wovens, making it especially good for projects where you want some structure without too much stiffness. We can see it becoming chore jackets, structured skirts and dresses, totes and bags, pillows, quilted jackets, and all sorts of useful things for around the home.

And those little flecks and neps? They're part of what we love about it. Each cut has its own subtle variation and character.

Care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang to dry or tumble dry low. We recommend prewashing before cutting to allow the cotton-linen weave to settle and account for any shrinkage.

Sold by the half yard. Quantities greater than one will be cut as continuous yardage.
